The 100 Best Places to Live and Launch

According to Fortune Small Business Magazine, Scottsdale is ranked 25 among “The 100 Best Places to Live and Launch.” The writers and editors looked for towns that combined a great business environment with alluring leisure opportunities. Scottsdale has a large entrepreneurial community and high volume of tourist traffic, copped off by the ability to hike Camelback Mountain, golf and dine at five-star restaurants. Other Scottsdale “pros’ include its culture and nightlife.

BUILDERS ARE SWEETENING THE DEAL FOR BUYERS……

Between the summer of 2006 and 2007 the number of builders offering optional items like a fireplace, a three car garage and in many cases even a pool at no additional charge rose from 41% to 57%. According to the National Association of Home Builders those offering closing costs increased from 38% to 46%.

Sellers of existing homes are sweetening the deal as well. A recent study found that 59% of sellers in 2006 and 2007 offered incentives to buyers; up from 35% in 2005. Some incentives included furniture, moving costs, closing costs and flooring upgrades.

It is a great time to buy and an even better time to bargain!
